New and Old Art at a Show in Oakland

"3.29.13
    • 6:00pm until 9:00pm

  • Dufwin Building, 519 17th Street, Oakland, CA 94612
  • ArtX Gallery is excited to present its second art show titled "Transitions: political, social and religious."

The headlines in the papers are no surprise to anyone reading them. They are filled with stories of ongoing tension between Israel and Palestine, the violence in Eygpt and then the Pope's departure from the Vatican. These last few months have been intriguing and fascinating.

Some of our thoughts have left us questioning the impact the events will have on our country and the world overall.

We put out a call for artists to present art that explores political, social and religious ramifications. Our lineup of artists including photographers and painters that give viewers a chance to explore these themes.

Attendees are encouraged to come and share the discussion, purchase art and enjoy an evening of food and wine with artists.

All art will be on display at the Dufwin Building until April 30. So if you miss the reception please feel free to stop by the building during the weekdays around 8am to 5pm and view them.

There will also be two more open viewing opportunities on Friday April 4 from 6-9pm and Saturday April 5 from 1-4pm.

Come support the arts community and spend your Friday night in Downtown Oakland."
